Manuela Acler appointed Chief General Counsel

Trento, 25.09.2023 – From 1st October, Manuela Acler will assume responsibility for the General Counsel Management of the Parent Company, reporting directly to the CEO Sandro Bolognesi.

The new Management, made up of the Corporate Affairs and Shareholdings Area and the Legal Area, was created with the aim of serving as the point of synthesis in the management of corporate governance, legal and corporate issues. In line with system best practices, it will play an important role in protecting the corporate and legal interests of the Group, in support of the objectives set by the 2023 – 2026 Strategic Plan.

Manuela Acler, after practising as a freelance lawyer, began her professional career within Cassa Centrale Banca where she developed in-depth knowledge and increasingly broader experience on legal, corporate and compliance issues in the banking sector, contributing significantly to the initiatives that led to the operational launch of the Cooperative Banking Group on 1st January 2019. As Group Chief Compliance Officer, she effectively organised and managed the Compliance Function in the early years of the Group, consolidating relationships with the Affiliated Banks.

The leadership of the Compliance Function will be assumed on an interim basis by Paolo Martignoni, Head of the Planning and Reporting Methodologies Service, on staff at the Compliance Department since 2018.
