Driven by the Cooperative Credit Reform, on 1st January 2019 we created the Cassa Centrale - Credito Cooperativo Italiano Group, the first Cooperative Banking Group in Italy.
The Group brings together 79 local banks (Cooperative Credit Banks - Rural Banks and Raiffeisenkassen) with the aim of combining the well-being of local communities with the need to ensure efficiency and competitiveness in the domestic arena, while preserving social cohesion, participatory development, and community progress.
It ranks among the top 10 Italian banking groups in terms of assets (72 billion) and capital strength (17.9% CET1 ratio), has more than 1,500 branches in 16 Italian regions and more than 11,000 employees.
It develops as an entity close to families and businesses with a wide range of high-tech quality products and services, which aims to promote the economic and social growth of the territories in which it is present, fully in line with its cooperative identity.
It does so by combining the autonomy of local banks and the strong ties they have with their respective communities, with the strength and power that only a solid, efficient, modern and competitive Banking Group can ensure.
A new way of doing banking, according to the same principles as ever.
