ESG.ICI is the first Italian quantitative index which assesses the level of integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into companies’ governance models.
In the 2026 edition, the Cassa Centrale Group was awarded the “ESG Identity – ICI Company” certification, confirming its status as a “Conscious ESG Identity” on a four-tier scale of increasing maturity: Builder, Conscious, Leader, and Top Performer.
Organised by ET.Group and in its eleventh edition in 2026, the index analyses organisations’ ability to integrate sustainability into decision-making processes, strategies and corporate governance through a structured assessment consisting of over 100 questions. The assessment examines numerous aspects of sustainability governance, including codes of conduct, the composition and expertise of the board, the integration of ESG goals into business strategies and incentive schemes, stakeholder engagement, sustainable finance, people management, and ESG culture, as well as digital governance frameworks.
The recognition confirms the path the Group has taken in integrating ESG principles into its cooperative model and in strengthening its sustainability governance.
