Gender equality: Cassa Centrale Banca obtains certification
Trento, 01.02.2024 – Cassa Centrale Banca has obtained the UNIPDR 125:2022 certification for gender equality, with the certifying body Bureau Veritas, a company that has been an international leader in inspection, compliance verification and certification services since 1828.
With the achievement of the Certification, an objective set out in the 2023-2026 Sustainability Plan, Cassa Centrale Banca reaffirms its constant and tangible commitment to promoting gender equality.
This important result, obtained also following the adoption of the Diversity Policy by all Group entities since 2019, confirms the commitment to constantly build and consolidate an increasingly inclusive culture and work environment in which gender equality is considered a fundamental element for the long-term success of the Group and for the well-being of all employees.
Among the key phases that led to obtaining the certification, we highlight the establishment of the "Guidance Committee" and the approval, in the meeting of the Board of Directors of last 14 December, of two new policies regarding the topics related to diversity, equity and inclusion: the Policy to support active parenting and the Diversity & Inclusion Policy.
The Certification represents the Group's tangible commitment to crucial issues for its people, with particular attention to promoting the development of women within the Group.
The CEO of Cassa Centrale Banca, Sandro Bolognesi commented: “This certification represents not only a recognition of our deep commitment, but also represents our firm intention to maintain and raise our standards. We will continue to work to ensure that the themes of inclusiveness and support for diversity remain fundamental pillars of the culture of our organisation, in the work of the Group and in our future strategies”.
“This significant achievement is a source of great pride, as it strengthens our determination to pursue our future goals. Aware of our roots, with this certification we approach the path towards an increasingly inclusive environment with responsibility and concrete actions. In addition to Cassa Centrale, three Cooperative Credit Banks of our Group have recently achieved this significant milestone and, as Parent Company, we would like to set an example and be a guide for the Group Banks that wish to undertake this path of excellence" – declared Stefania Buratto, Chief Human Resources Officer and Diversity Manager of Cassa Centrale Banca.
